A good patient-doctor relationship is essential in order to achieve optimal results from treatment. Patient empowerment gives people more control over their care decisions, while health literacy empowers them with skills to understand and use health information.
The spread of health-related mis- and disinformation poses a growing threat to societies. Large-scale disinformation campaigns are a major challenge for Europe and require a coordinated response from EU countries, EU institutions, online platforms, news media and EU citizens.
