Europe's Beating Cancer Plan is the main priority in the area of health of the current European Commission. It sets out a new EU approach to cancer prevention, treatment and care.

CPME believes that prevention is the most cost-effective long-term strategy for cancer control. It supports EU actions actions to address key risk factors such as tobacco, harmful alcohol consumption, environmental pollution and hazardous substances. Moreover, CPME continues promoting healthy diets and physical activity, as well as HPV vaccination.
