This edition of the CPME newsletter opens with a special article dedicated to the commemoration of fallen healthcare professionals who lost their lives during the COVID-19 pandemic. Solidarity and cooperation are at the heart of overcoming the pandemic, and the newsletter will provide some perspectives on the new European Health Union and deepened cooperation in healthcare.

Furthermore, an event recap describes the proceedings of the joint conference on digital knowledge and skills for future doctors. This is followed by an article on the policy documents adopted by the CPME on digital training for doctors. These are accompanied by an update from the Lancet countdown, as well as an article on medical mobility post-Brexit.

Moreover, CPME members have provided national perspectives on the Covid-19 Pandemic. With the increasing pace of vaccinations, the European Commission commented on its Strategy for Safe and effective Vaccines, and the Coalition for Vaccination has provided a statement on vaccination for healthcare professionals.

Finally, our newsletter includes a statement from EMSA on the involvement of medical students in patient care during the COVID-19 Pandemic, an article on Artificial Intelligence and sharing of Personal Data in Health care by the European Data Protection Supervisor, Mr Wojciech Wiewiórowski, and an article from EU-OSHA on Musculoskeletal Disorders in the Healthcare sector.
