This special edition is entirely dedicated to recent CPME activities and policy developments.

During the CPME meeting in Geneva on 10 November 2018, the General Assembly elected the new Executive Committee for the 2019 – 2021 term. Moreover, CPME has launched its Health Check 2019 ahead of the upcoming European elections. Among their six requests, European doctors call for continued investments in health, including commitments to prevention efforts and health security, such as the fight against antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and an increase in vaccination coverage. This edition includes also an introduction to the new CPME policy on alcohol labelling and articles on the application of artificial intelligence in healthcare.
