statementOn 12 February 2014, the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs will vote on the draft report on the US NSA surveillance programme, surveillance bodies in various Member States and their impact on EU citizens’ fundamental rights as well as on transatlantic cooperation. With this occasion, the Standing Committe of European Doctors (CPME) released a statement, welcoming the draft report of MEP Claude Moraes with regards in particular the subsequent amendments tabled on medical professionals’ confidentiality obligation (amendments 32, 38 and 353).
